Worcester is a beautiful Cathedral city with a wealth of history, heritage and culture.
Perhaps best known for its magnificent Cathedral, there are numerous other places to explore, including the City Art Gallery and Museum, the Museum of Royal Worcester (ceramics and porcelain), The Guildhall, Greyfriars House and Garden (NT), and the Tudor House. There are also walking tours of the city (guided or self-guided), river trips, interesting architecture and a wide range of shops.
Worcester is host to the famous annual 3 Choirs Festival this year and our visit is during the festival week. There is a variety of events and we anticipate a festive atmosphere within the city, including on College Green.
Visits to the Cathedral will be limited at times as it is the venue for the main concerts, but the organisers work with the Cathedral to ensure as much public access as possible. You might want to catch the choral concert there in the afternoon of our visit.
No entrance fees or tickets are included in the cost of the trip. For more details of the Festival, or the city of Worcester, it is worth looking at websites.
